Empty foldable cages stack flat to save floor space. Based on how flat they fold, there are three common folding styles. First, the standard fold — also called outer fold — the most universal. The bend itself splits into two: with door-mesh bending or without, depending on structure. Second, the inner fold, folding opposite to the outer direction. This usually carries support brackets and bends the back mesh. Third, the half fold, where two mesh panels fold onto each other. It suits cages whose length is shorter than width, folding fairly flat via bottom-mesh bending. The standard outer fold sells best, thanks to a simple, universal structure. Whichever style, opening or folding takes under a minute and one person can do it.
