A warehouse cage is itself a key storage and turnover tool. Because it can sit directly on high-level rack beams, the industry calls this use a "high-level rack warehouse cage". A standard warehouse cage has stacking feet on the bottom. Placed directly on a rack beam, the contact area is small and the cage sits unstable. To use it on high-level racking, the feet need modification, and two methods are common. The first method removes the cage's original stacking feet and replaces them with square tube as legs. The full square tube lands on the rack beam, giving a large contact area and a stable seat. The drawback is that the cage can no longer be stacked. The second method keeps the original stacking feet and welds angle steel or square tube between two feet. The cage can then both be stacked and sit on racking, covering two uses. It costs a bit more than the first method but offers more flexibility. When selecting a model, send us the rack beam spacing together with the cage's outer dimensions, and we will match the feet to your racking.
